Protecting Your Windows in the Winter

As the winter season approaches, it is important to take the necessary steps to protect all components of your home including your windows. Doing so will help keep you warm this winter, lower your energy bills, and prevent costly repairs. Here are some tips for keeping your windows protected this winter:

• Weatherstripping: Weatherstripping is a cost-effective and easy way to seal gaps and cracks around your windows. You simply apply the weatherstripping strips to the edges of your windows to prevent drafts and reduce heat loss. This will help keep your home’s temperature consistent and ease the workload of your furnace.

• Window Insulation Film: Window insulation film is a transparent, plastic sheet that can be applied to the interior of your windows. It creates an additional layer of insulation by trapping air between the film and the glass, reducing heat transfer. Window film is easy to install and can improve the energy efficiency of your home during the winter.
